CNC 5 Axis Operator/Machinist

- Responsible for setting up and operating a CNC 5 Axis machine.
- Must be proficient at all types of drilling, tapping and milling.
- Must be able to complete machining operations from blueprints, drawings resident manufacturing plan, and/or verbal instructions.
- Must have experience with complex, tight tolerance parts and various materials.
- Knowledgeable of carbide tools and adjusting speed and feed parameters for maximum tool life
- Makes or offer suggestions on drawing changes to improve manufacturability
- Meets expectations for productivity and production goals
- Constantly keep products moving and alerting management when production is inhibited
- Provides ideas for continuous improvements

Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2-5 years of experience in set up and operation of CNC Mill machines.

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Ability to set up, trouble shoot and run a CNC Machine
- Experience running a 5 Axis CNC Router
- Ability to read and work off a blueprint
- Experience with multi axis mill and lathe CNC machines

Additional Requirements:
- Able to lift a minimum of 25lbs
- Able to stand for extended periods- 8 hours’ min
- Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and being able to maneuver in tight spaces
- Repetitive movement, bending or twisting, using hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools or controls, exposure to sounds and noise levels that are distracting
- Lifting, standing, climbing, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, stretching, and carrying are generally required to perform the functions of this position
- Must be available for some overtime and weekend hours

- Positive attitude and ability to work as a team

- Must be able to work swing shift (2:30 to 11pm)
