NDT Technician Level 2

We are a market leader in Aerospace composite manufacturing, working with exciting technologies and materials to design and build advanced composite structural components and assemblies. We are seeking an experienced Level 2 NDT Technician to join our Quality Inspection team at our site in Crewkerne, Somerset.

This role will be responsible for testing products using relevant techniques to ensure they fully meet the customer acceptance criteria and have been produced in line with the relevant manufacturing instructions and/or specification.

The key activities will include:

  • Data entry and administration
  • Raising non conformance reports
  • Maintain test records and analysis results to ensure traceabilty requirements
  • Performing UT in accordance with customer and internal specifications.
  • Ensure at all times that the test equipment and test procedures are used within the agreed safety procedures /guidelines
  • Support all materials Laboratory functions, promote and develop a culture of continuous improvement within the team.

We are looking for the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified to level 2 in a relevant NDT discipline, preferably UT
  • Scientific qualification preferred
  • Good practical skills with a high level of manual dexterity
  • Good concentration levels, attention to detail and methodical approach
  • The ability to follow written and verbal instructions and accurately keep records
  • Computer literate, Windows based
  • A good team player with a flexible attitude to work load and a continuous improvement mind-set
  • A safety-conscious approach to work
  • Must be reliable, have the ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
