Plant Controller


Candidates must have extensive manufacturing background, aviation/defense industry experience a plus.  The Plant Controller will report to the U.S. Director of Finance with a strong solid line to the General Manager of the facility, and will be an integral part of the Hayden, ID management team.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for the company’s financial plans, policies, and its accounting practices.  


  • Provide financial leadership to location management team.
  • Responsible for all business controlling activities – cost accounting and inventory management (standard cost, manufacturing result analysis, manufacturing accounting systems), participating in management team meetings, supporting management in financial decisions, participate in the quotation and bidding process, reviewing results with local and group management, and focusing on cost reduction / profit improvement efforts.
  • Supervise team responsible for general ledger, inventory, A/R, collections, A/P, monthly financial reporting.
  • Ensure that accurate and timely financial reports and analyses are provided as required by management, the Director of Finance, and Chief Financial Officer.
  • Participates in monthly and/or weekly presentations of site specific information to executive management team.
  • Provide reliable forecasts and budgets of revenue, EBITDA and cash flows. 
  • Ensure that financial controls are designed and maintained to protect assets of company. Evaluate, strengthen and/or develop and implement accounting procedures and processes.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal government regulations as well as terms of client contracts.
  • Ongoing analysis of cash flow, inventory and other asset management, cost controls and expenses to provide guidance to business leaders.  Analyze financial statements to identify trends and potential weak areas.  
  • Develop and implement best practices in finance and accounting.
  • Ensure records and systems are maintained in accordance U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain relationship with auditors (public, governmental, banks, etc.). 


  • B.S. in Finance or Accounting required, extensive manufacturing / cost accounting experience
  • 5 years of financial management level positions
  • Executive presence
  • Strong analytical and accounting skills

  • Experience in aerospace and defense preferred
  • Proficient with ERP systems and Excel, MAS200 a plus

Personal and professional integrity.


Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Business Administration.  An advanced degree in business or accounting would be a plus.  

Experience:  Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience with a major company or division of a corporation.  Manufacturing background preferred.

Computer Skills: Microsoft Office including proficiency in Excel spreadsheet preparation.  Must have experience in maintaining and configuring accounting and financial reporting systems.  MAS, JobOps, systems conversion experience a plus.

Certificates and Licenses: Preference will be given to candidates with CMA and/or CPA designations 

Other Requirements:  Government Contracting,Aerospace and/or Defense Industry experience a plus.
